This policy explains the information FrischGames handles and the choices available to you.

Barak Caplan operates FrischGames as a personal project. This policy applies to frischgames.org and the older FrischBets address that redirects here.
Account information includes your email, display name, grade or account category, and account settings. Passwords are stored as salted hashes rather than readable passwords. Admin authenticator setup uses encrypted secrets and hashed recovery codes.
The site stores the content you choose to submit: game progress and scores, Paws and item activity, Locker customizations and photos, schedules, chat messages, group activity, polls, reports, and support requests. Avoid submitting sensitive information that is not needed for these features.
While signed in, the site records visits, last-seen times, time while a game is open, game progress at losses or exits, app-versus-browser use, broad device/model and browser labels, and technical error categories. Administrators use activity information to understand site use and fix problems.
Requests also expose technical information such as an IP address and browser headers to the hosting service. Security checks use request information, account identifiers, session records, and device identifiers to limit abuse, detect suspicious activity, and enforce account restrictions. FrischGames does not request precise GPS location or access to your contacts.
Information is used to run accounts, save games, display rankings, deliver messages, personalize the Locker, manage schedules, answer support requests, and protect the community. Display names, rankings, public profile features, and messages in shared channels are visible to the relevant audience.
Direct and group messages are stored on the server and are not end-to-end encrypted. Their normal interface is available to the intended participants; authorized administrators may access data when needed for operation, moderation, safety, or support. Account and activity administration is restricted to authorized administrators.
A secure session cookie keeps you signed in. Browser storage remembers settings, dismissed notices, install-related state, and local game progress. Some progress synchronizes to your account; browser-only data may not transfer between devices or domains. The installed app may cache files for offline use.
You can clear cookies and site storage through your browser, but this signs you out and may remove local-only progress. Installing the app does not give the site access to all the files or contacts on your device.
The site includes Google AdSense code. When advertising services are loaded, third-party vendors, including Google, may place or read cookies and use web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers. Google’s advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites. Other participating advertising vendors may also use cookies for personalized advertising.
You can manage personalized Google advertising through Google My Ad Center, and learn about third-party advertising choices at aboutads.info. See how Google uses data on partner sites and Google’s Privacy Policy. These choices do not necessarily stop all advertising cookies or remove ads.
Hosting and storage services process information to deliver the site, and email services process messages you send to support. FrischGames does not offer account passwords or private messages for sale. Advertising providers’ handling of browsing data is described by their own policies.
Information is kept while needed to operate your account and the site, investigate abuse, and meet applicable obligations. Backups and security records may remain after a live record is removed. No fixed retention period is promised for every category. Security measures reduce risk, but no online service can guarantee perfect security.
Email barak.caplan@frisch.org to request access, correction, or deletion of your information, or to ask about privacy. We may need to verify your identity. Requests are handled subject to applicable requirements and legitimate security needs. Account deletion can remove associated progress and content, so explain whether you want a specific correction or full deletion.
Do not create an account or submit personal information if you are under 13. If you believe information from a child under 13 has been submitted, contact Barak so it can be reviewed and removed as appropriate. Younger players should involve a parent or guardian when they have questions about privacy or online activity.
This policy may change when features or data practices change. The effective date will be updated, and material changes will be communicated through the site where appropriate.
